ACRE is pleased to continue its series of concerts in conjunction with CAPTCHA RECORDS to promote the ACRE Sound Program for musicians, bands, and sound artists at the ACRE Residency. Featuring bands who have or will take part in ACRE’s Visiting Band program or have been residents themselves, money raised at these concerts will go directly to the Sound Program and CAPTCHA’s resident scholarship fund.

CAPTCHA RECORDS/KALLISTEI EDITIONS is working alongside ACRE and are excited to announce the establishment of a scholarship program for developing Sound and Music artists. The “Golden Apple” awards will provide full and partial financial support for musicians to attend a twelve-day residency session with access to a full recording studio, audio engineers, an expansive network of artists, accommodations and meals. Aimed at emerging talent, CAPTCHA RECORDS/KALLISTEI EDITIONS will further collaborate with the selected musicians to provide resources for full production of a finished work, including a physical release.

ACRE (Artists’ Cooperative Residency and Exhibition) was founded in 2010 with the ambition to provide the arts community with an affordable, cooperative, and dialogue-oriented residency program. The residency itself takes place each summer in rural southwest Wisconsin and brings together artists from across disciplines and levels of experience to create a regenerative community of cultural producers. Over the course of the following year ACRE endeavors to further support its residents by providing venues for exhibitions, idea exchange, interdisciplinary collaboration, and experimental projects.
