Long Lazy Lunch will be an afternoon of treats and libations featuring musical performances by ACRE residents to celebrate the release of Kadabra: Recipes and Miscellany from ACRE 2010 by Melissa Damasauskas and Rachel Ettling. Also available are  ACRE’s new calendar tea towels designed by Alex Chitty and Jessica Taylor Caponigro.

Performances include improvised acoustic melodies by Matt Austin and EJ Hill, noise influenced tunes by Marvin Astorga and Young Joon Kwak, and experimental video djing by John Paul Glover.

KADABRA: Recipes and Miscellany from ACRE 2010 contains excerpts from the original overflowing binder of recipes used to feed the residents of ACRE’s 2010 summer residency program.  This handmade book is documentation of the first ACRE residency kitchen, highlighting favorite recipes and featuring notes, anecdotes, photographs and reflections on learning to cook creatively and resourcefully for a large group of varied eaters.
