Through sculptural and photographic interpretations, Lindsey Dezman explores natural forming clays as a way to highlight the inherent material lifespan from one type of clay to the next.

Dezman received her Bachelors of Fine Arts in 2011 from Colorado State University after which she studied at Oregon College of Art & Craft as a Post Baccalaureate student in ceramics.  She received her Masters of Fine Arts from Cranbrook Academy of Art in May of 2014. Just after graduation, Dezman’s work was acquisitioned into the Cranbrook Art Museum’s permanent collection. In 2014, she was also awarded the Lighton International Artist Exchange Program grant to attend Guldagergaard, the International Ceramic Research Center in Skælskor, Denmark. Dezman is currently living and working outside of Detroit, Michigan.
