Artist Cooperative Residency and Exhibitions Project (ACRE) is delighted to announce the Diversity Scholarship Fund to strengthen our ongoing commitment to diversity in all aspects of the organization. ACRE strives create an inclusive environment, welcoming and celebrating all media of art production with a focus in interdisciplinary collaboration as well as fostering the involvement of underrepresented communities at the residency. This scholarship was established to support heterogeneity on all fronts at the residency and throughout our programming in the Chicago area. We believe that providing an opportunity for artists underrepresented at the residency to attend ACRE free of charge will reinforce our goal of providing support to young and emerging artists in an inclusive and welcoming environment.

To qualify for a Diversity Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • All applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Apply to the ACRE Residency Program by program deadline.
  • The artist must be accepted into the residency program through the traditional review panel process.
  • Individual artists as well as 2 and 3 person collaborative projects are eligible to receive the scholarship.
