I'm Fontaine Capel: a Brooklyn-born, Chicago-based interdisciplinary artist, curator, educator, and facilitator. My work has appeared domestically and internationally: digitally, and IRL. I am a Co-Founder and the Executive Director of the alternative art space Hume Chicago, and the microgallery Sill Space Projects. In conjunction with my studio and curatorial practice, I've been a teaching artist at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago and Marwen. I was a 2017 ACRE resident, and a resident at the Chicago Artist Coalition's Field/Work residency. I received a B.A. at Oberlin College where I studied Art History and Studio Art, and am currently pursuing an MFA at Columbia University.
