Musicians, sound artists, and novices come through the recording studio to work with friendly, experienced engineers.

ACRE’s Sound Studio supports live performance, field recording and an isolated studio environment. With digital recording capabilities, an expanding collection of microphones, and a nuanced and interesting contribution of equipment and software, our staff of experienced and friendly technicians will be able to provide insight and assistance on almost any sound based project, as well as provide workshops and tutorials on equipment, software, and instruments. Bands and musicians are welcome to apply, however, because of the program’s communal nature, ACRE’s sound facilities work best as a place for learning, composing and experimenting rather than as a traditional recording studio.
